Included new towpaths, lighting, seating areas, new footbridge, parapet reconstructions, metal artwork panels, and planting improvements, all in keeping with the traditional canalside heritage vernacular.

Most of the canalside artefacts and bridge links installed in the early 90's have since survived extensive building redevelopment of the canal basin, and now form a canalside setting for surrounding high rise residential apartments and hotel.
